CLOVER LINKS NATURAL LIVING

In the riverNatural Hygiene comes from the Greek word `hygiene`, which means `art of living´. It is a science that studies the optimum or ideal conditions for human beings to develop a broad and vigorous health.

If we know, understand and practice the natural laws of “natural hygiene” correctly, we’ll realise that health is something natural. If we learn to take care of our body, following favorable habits of life in a physical, mental, emotional and energetic level, we’ll avoid becoming exhausted by intoxication and becoming sick. And we’ll also become more aware of the huge economical interest that big business has in supporting sickness so as to sell soft or hard medicines, creating drug-dependency instead of self-responsible societies.

Natural hygiene is a way of life that may help us to maintain, improve or recover health.

Giant hammockAll through history we find many examples of people who practiced "natural hygiene": the essences, the hunzas, the vilcabambos, the abkhasia, etc., groups that are outstanding due to their extraordinary longevity and for their high level of health. Besides, other people like Pythagoras, Hippocrates (´that your food be your medicine and your medicine your food´), Leonardo da Vinci or Mahatma Gandhi. From the 19th century the "natural hygiene" movement has been defined thanks to doctors Isaac Jennings, Sylvester Graham and John H. Tilden. Contemporarily there are Herbert M. Shelton, Manuel Lezaeta, Amilcar de Souza, Arnold Ehret, André Torque, Prof. N. Capo, etc.

Nowadays in Spain there is a "Coordinadora Higienista" where there are different resting-houses/schools of health. They publish the magazine “Curarse en salud".

Relaxing in the houseIn Permaculturacañadulce we have a vegan diet (without animal products), respecting animal life and their right to be free from exploitation. We have a simple and surprisingly tasty diet (avoiding processed food, industrial aditives, fried food and bad food combinations). We mostly eat our own vegetables and first fruits from the trees or local and national vegetables, fruits, dried fruit, sprouted seeds, seaweeds, oil, olives, rice, potatoes and legumes.

We also like to experiment with new flavours in the solar power cooker!

Please no animal food, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine or tea.
